Barcelona, 24 July 2009 .- Monster Jam, the world's largest monster truck spectical currently on tour internationally, will make its debut in Spain next October 24, 2009 at the Olympic Stadium in Barcelona. The tour will then continue heading to other European cities before concluding their tour this year in Finland (Helsinki) and Sweden (Stockholm).
Monster Jam is an incredible family show consisting of, the Monster Trucks and Freestyle bikes by the best bikers in the world, which dazzle fans with risky and challenging maneuvers. Originally from the United States, Monster Jam conducts nearly 250 presentations and sells 2.3 million tickets annually. The Monster Truck is approximately 3m high by 4m long and all of them have unique models and weigh a minimum of 4 tons.
The Monster Truck is able to move from 0 to 100 km/ h in less than 3' and generate between 1,500 and 2,000 hp. They can perform spectacular jumps of 30 meters (a distance greater than the 14 cars set side by side).
The Monster Jam has two types of competitions during the show. The first is the racing competition where the truck race head to head. They also perform a freestyle competition, at which they have a limited time on the course to display their skills and extravagant stunts, jumps and can destroy all obstacles as fast as possible.
As well as tickets for the show, Monster Jam fans can also buy tickets for the Pit Party, which will take place before the show. This is a unique opportunity to meet Monster Jam drivers, request autographs, take pictures and see the monster trucks up close. The entry for the Pit Party, which can only be purchased if you buy entry for the show, will give fans access to see the track up close. It is a unique opportunity to come and see in detail the monster trucks and everything around them.
Throughout 2009 Monster Jam has already performed in Costa Rica, Panama, Poland, United Kingdom, Sweden and Holland. Tickets for Monster Jam, on October 24 at the Olympic Stadium in Barcelona, have already gone on sale.
