Next Stop – West Lebanon

Authored by Monster Jam on November 14, 2022

When you think about long running events in Monster Jam® history, one name keeps coming into the conversation – Lebanon Valley Speedway.

The ½-mile high-banked clay oval in eastern New York has served as a racing showcase for decades. For many years of its existence, Monster Jam has been there, often playing to packed houses.

The unique schedule of Sunday-Wednesday allows the race track to operate without interrupting its business of providing weekly oval track racing on Saturday nights. It gives fans throughout the Valley and into neighboring Massachusetts and Vermont the place to be on a summer weeknight.

Each year, Monster Jam offers a strong lineup to the fans of “West Leb” and 2016 will continue that trend. Six of the 10 Monster Jam drivers have competed there before and four of them have Lebanon Valley Speedway wins on their resumes. The four newcomers will add to the excitement and get an immediate understanding of the knowledge and enthusiasm of West Lebanon fans.

For starters, there’s 2016 FS1 Champion Adam Anderson and Grave Digger®. Anderson left his former truck for a ride in Grave Digger for last year’s West Lebanon show and hasn’t driven anything else since. Last year, Anderson added a Racing win and three Freestyle victories. It was the fourth time he had won events at Lebanon Valley, claiming two Racing wins in 2013. In 2010, subbing for his father Dennis, Adam racked up a Racing win and three Freestyles. In his racing career, Adam Anderson has won five Racing and eight Freestyle titles, but he has a long way to go to catch his dad, who has more career wins in Monster Jam competition at Lebanon Valley than any other driver.

Linsey Weenk in Lucas Oil CrusaderTM has been coming to Lebanon Valley for the last five years. His biggest success came in 2014, picking up a pair of Racing victories. Chuck Werner in El Toro Loco® won one Racing championship (2011) while Neil Elliott in Max-DTM bested the Freestyle competition in 2012.

West Lebanon fans are getting a first look at some different trucks, including Monster Mutt® Dalmatian and Gas Monkey GarageTM.
