Steve Sims jump started his monster truck career in 2005 when he built the Stone Crusher monster truck. Steve’s inspiration for the truck came from the company that he owns called Custom Stone Company, which specializes in granite and marble products. Grave Digger driver, Dennis Anderson, stopped into the shop one day and the rest became history.

Always interested in monster trucks, Steve decided he wanted to take a stab at the industry. He began by purchasing the Backdraft monster truck from Rick Disharoon and started to build what he hoped would become one of the best trucks in the industry. One of his favorite accomplishments includes winning his first freestyle competition in Columbus, SC in 2006.

As one of the newest drivers on the Monster Jam® Circuit, Steve may have a lot more to learn, but he is definitely on his way to the top.
