Started at the age of 23. He was using rice and kane tractor tires on his mud bogger creating the wide tire look used that to go out and race. It became officially legal just months later. He has always been a racer. Other than driving monster trucks, he builds custom cars/vehicles and does construction during off-times. His goal for this season is to run his truck with the new 4-wheel drive. He has been running 2-wheel drive for years and with the help of his sponser he put on the 4-wheel drive. His career highlight was winning 1st place in the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan in 1990. His favorite stop on the tour was New Orleans because the people there are the best. “There has not been a bad place to race yet”. Everyone is so welcoming and nice to them no matter where they go. Dennis Anderson with Gravedigger is who he races the most. (That’s his favorite competitor). He differs from other drivers in that he has been more careful as a privateer but has stayed competitive compared to others who are company owned, etc. The advice that he would give to people out there is get an education! It takes more than a mechanical know how to run this business and it’s more than just driving. His wife wants people to know that he has had a deep and abiding love for the sport. He was one of the innovators of the sport and he has put a quarter century of his life and his heart into it.
