Monster Jam comes back to Hidalgo, Texas to the beautiful Rio GrandeValley. Not only the weather is lovely, especially for those who come from freezing temperatures from up North, but the greatest warmth is the one from the people of the valley, always welcoming and with a great smile on their faces.
Having realized that, all the drivers knew about the compromise of making of the first night, one memorable for all of the Monster Jam Fans. We had great performances tonight in every contest.
Dan Evans driving Blue Thunder just celebrated his birthday last night. I had chance to have dinner with him, and we talked about how important it is the fact of how many birthdays he has spent while on the road with Monster Jam- 23 years of his life spent behind the wheel-. Tonight, Dan Evans not only continued to celebrate his birthday, but he also celebrated two victories in tonight’s first performance of Monster Jam in Hidalgo.
The First win came when he was the biggest scorer in Monster Jam wheelies. He came close to make a perfect Killer Wheelie for a score of 23. Lupe Soza came close to that score after a high air wheelie for 22 points. Other scores:

Monster Jam Fox Sports Freestyle
Monster Jam Freestyle was just Monstrous!! Among the highest scores was the one of Blue Thunder who was looking forward in making a Double Down. Evans did a great performance for a total of 24 points. At that point, and while holding that high score, we had to wait for Lupe Soza to come and tear down El Toro. The hood just went off flying, after driving for a few seconds with zero visibility and just Soza receiving instruction from his crew right into his earpiece. He scored 27 points. Grave Digger with tremendous high air and donuts combinations scored 25 points. The winner of tonight’s first Monster Jam Freestyle was Lupe Soza and El Toro Loco!! Other scores:
