Friday 7pm

Greensboro Coliseum was Rockin tonight as always!! What an incredible night of Monster Jam action. Monster Jam as big as it gets was truly that tonight in Greensboro.

8 Incredible Monster Jam Trucks and 8 World Class Monster Jam drivers all squarely on the road to World Finals XV in Las Vegas in March!!
The North Carolina boys kept the trophies right here in NC tonight with Gary Porter and Grave Digger Doubling down for the Racing and Free Style win while Whit Tarlton and Monster Mutt Took the wheelie competition. It would be an emotional night for Monster Jam Fans and the Monster Jam staff as well. When Whit Tarlton accepted his wheelie trophy….. He dedicated it to the memory of long time Monster Jam announcer Joe Lowe. Joe left us way too early and left a lasting legacy across these United States and especially here in Greensboro. Joe is missed and respected by both friends and fans alike. I am proud to call him my friend and forever indebted to him for giving me my start with Monster Jam!
Wheelies were good tonight in Greensboro.
The Mutt would haul in the coveted wheelie trophy with a 20.

Racing was razor sharp tonight. Every competitor had the Monster Jam trucks dialed in….. each realizing tonight was a very important step on the road to Monster Jam World Finals XV. Gary Porter continues his streak, remaining undefeated so far in this new Monster Jam season. His racing record now stands at 12-0 with 4 racing championships under his belt early in the season. Believe me…. Everyone competing here in Greensboro tomorrow will be looking to end his streak and win racing and have a shot at the Double Down that Gary and Grave Digger laid out for us tonight.
Racing round one:
Grave Digger defeated Ground Pounder
Higher Education took out Sampson
Shockwave eliminated Iron Warrior
Monster Mutt bested Shockwave

Racing Semi:
Grave Digger took down Higher Education
Monster Mutt defeated Shockwave

Racing Championship round:
It was all North Carolina in the final. Both Porter and Tarlton were at what is really their home show. Both Wadesboro North Carolina natives wanted the Racing Championship. Porter’s streak could end and Tarlton’s racing record could improve with just this one win. Every win makes a huge difference on the road to Monster Jam World Finals XV.
In the end Grave Digger and Porter would lengthen the streak and take the Racing Championship tonight in Greensboro.
On to the Monster Jam Fox Sports Free Style. WOW!! What an impressive set of drivers and runs in free style tonight!!

WOW Greensboro... You certainly know how to Party!! Though the temperatures moderated in Greensboro, it was HOT inside the Greensboro Coliseum. With 8 world class Monster Jam Trucks and 8 incredible Monster Jam drivers on hand the action was simply fantastic. It would be nearly 100% North Carolina drivers that would take wins this weekend….. The one exception was tonight in Wheelies where a New Jersey driver took the win.
With a capacity crowd on hand and the dirt ready, Monster Jam, AS BIG AS IT GETS lived up to the billing no doubt.
Wheelies were phenomenal tonight. New Jersey Native Bill Braukman and Shockwave would claim his piece of North Carolina Monster Jam history with the wheelie victory.
Wheelies scores:

Shockwave driven by Bill Braukman 23 (winner)

Monster Jam racing was next and the competition was outrageous. All 8 drivers clearly understood that the road to Monster Jam World Finals XV continued here tonight. Make no mistake... every single Driver craved the win and a shot at one of the 32 coveted invitations to Monster Jam World Finals XV.
Gary Porter in Grave Digger continued his streak and remains undefeated for 2014. Gary was quick to point out that the season is young but also joked about trying to earn the “ROOKIE OF THE YEAR” award from Monster Jam. I think it’s a bit late for that…. Gary is a 29 year veteran of Monster Jam racing. He was decisive in his victory and continues to have that huge target on his back. Every other driver in the building wanted to be THE driver that shut down Gary Porters streak and go on to win Monster Jam racing.
Round one:
Grave Digger defeated Ground Pounder
Higher Education bested Sampson
Iron Warrior took out Shockwave
Shock Therapy got the best of Monster Mutt
Semi Final Racing Round:
Grave digger stopped Higher Education
Iron Warrior made it by Shock Therapy
In the Championship round Gary Porter in Grave Digger Defeated Trey Meyers in Iron Warrior. It was a tight race but Porter and Digger simply could not be beaten tonight or for that matter so far this year. That positioned Gary Porter and Grave Digger to double down again tonight. The target on Porters back is growing ever larger.
The Monster Jam Fox Sports 1 Freestyle was a spectacle. Greensboro was treated to a world class free style show tonight. Big air, donuts, non stop car crushing action that had the Greensboro fans on their feet for the entire free style competition. Could Gary Porter take the Free Style and double down again tonight... he could... and he did!!! Congratulations to Gary Porter and Grave digger on an awesome weekend and an awesome start to 2014 as we roll down the road to Monster Jam World Finals XV in March.
