Saturday 7:00 p.m. – Illinois native Tom Meents gave his home state fans a night full of thrills in front of a sold out i wireless Center in Moline, dominating against an incredible field of Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam trucks and superstar drivers as Max-D swept all four competitions Saturday night.

With the pumped up crowd enjoying every minute it was Steve Koehler in Wrecking Crew earning the first loud roars right off the bat. Opening up the wheelie competition where each competitor performed a trio of sky wheelies, Wrecking Crew’s third wheelie threw the truck straight up into the air, landing on the tailgate and then rolling over backwards onto its roof. The winner’s plaque was claimed by Max-D though when Meents nailed three beauties to impress both the cheering Quad Cities fans and the judges.

Max-D’s second triumph of the night came in the racing bracket where 11-time Monster Jam World Champion Meents rolled through the ladders, besting another Illinois native, Scott Buetow in the Team Hot Wheels Firestorm in a close UTI Championship Round Race.

The donut competition was not judged, rather the winner was determined based on which Monster Jam truck was able to complete the most revolutions. Avenger and Jim Koehler blew into the lead, wowing the crowd with a 14 revolutions performance but Grave Digger’s Gary Porter answered that challenge as Grave Digger notched 17 full 360 degree spins. That big number was not enough to keep  Meents from another win however as Max-D’s “spin cycle” cyclones brought the crowd to its feet, a high speed set of donuts that had the truck lifting off the ground. Max-D’s 22 revolutions took the victory.

Max-D made it a clean sweep as Meents rocked the house with a blistering freestyle performance, Meents giving his fans a taste of how he won the Monster Jam World Freestyle Championship just a little over a month ago as Max-D continued its 10th Anniversary “Decade of Maximum Destruction” with a dominating night against that superstar laden line-up in the first of two events in Moline this weekend.

Sunday 2:00 p.m. – In front of another packed house in Moline, Illinois, Sunday afternoon Max-D was again the biggest winner of the Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam event, but unlike Saturday night when Tom Meents powered Max-D to a clean sweep of all four competitions, this time both Jim Koehler in Avenger and Gary Porter in Grave Digger fought their way to victories to snap the Max-D Quad Cities winning streak.

Opening the event Meents extended his i wireless Center win string as Max-D eked out a one point victory over Avenger in the Wheelie Competition. The run of victories would end in racing though when Meents was assessed a five second penalty because Max-D did not get both front wheels up the ramp on the final jump costing the 11-time Monster Jam World Champion his first round race, that victory claimed by Candice Jolly in Monster  Mutt Dalmatian. Avenger eliminated the spotted puppy in one semifinal round and Chuck Werner and El Toro Loco outraced Frank Krmel and Advance Auto Parts Grinder in the other to match Avenger and El Toro Loco in the UTI Championship Round Race. Koehler has always been known for freestyle as witnessed by Avenger’s two Monster Jam World Freestyle Championships but it was the racing Avenger on this beautiful afternoon and Avenger nosed out El Toro Loco for the first championship plaque of the weekend that was not won by Max-D.

The Max-D magic having been broken in racing it was finally Grave Digger time and Porter answered the challenge in the Donut Competition. Again the winner was determined based on which Monster Jam truck could complete the most complete revolutions and Grave Digger edged out the competition in another close battle among this incredible field of superstars, Grave Digger’s 13 complete 360’s totaling one more than Max-D and two more than El Toro Loco.

Even though the Max-D momentum had been broken Meents was still determined to get more and he closed the weekend the way he started it with another Max-D victory, this time in the freestyle competition where the reigning World Freestyle Champion again had the fans on their feet and Max-D basking in one more victory to cap the sensational weekend in Moline.
