Saturday 7:00pm

The Sun was all day long and looked like it was going to be the same for the start of tonight’s Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam but right at 5:00 o'clock the rain came down and soaked the track. Even though it only rain for 15 minutes it came down hard and puddles gathered on the track for the start of the Southern Chevy Dealers Quad War Challenge. It was a good thing this was first on tonight’s agenda because the hard racing action from team South vs. North helped work in the track just intime for our Monster Jam Trucks to perform.

The night started off with the Dairy Queen Monster Jam Qualifying as Jimmy Creten done it again as he drove Bounty Hunter to the fastest qualifying time of 19.903 seconds. Ironman was second fastest followed by Grinder, Monster Energy and Paul & Young Ron Radio Monster Jam Truck rounding out the top five. It was no surprise seeing these five in the top five fastest spots but what was surprising Was Grave Digger and Max D. were not. Bounty Hunter which was last year’s winner here would race his way to the finals with wins over Ground Pounder in round one, Grave Digger in round two and The Paul and Young Ron Monster Jam Truck. He would meet a veteran in the semi finals and surprisingly it would not be any of the top five Qualifiers! It was Madusa. Madusa worked her way through her bracket with awesome wins over Razin Kane in round one , Grinder in round two (photo finish) and Ironman in the semi finals. Here is where it got interesting. When the light turn green in the finals both Monster Jam trucks left the starting line tied and stayed that way going into the final turn. That’s when Bounty hunter's truck just shut off as Madusa coasted to the championship win. At least that is what all the screaming fans thought except for the officials. Bounty Hunters RII was shut off and the officials caught it and called for the rerace. With one more chance to secure back to back Racing win in Miami Creten out raced Madusa to the finish and took home the hardware.

Tonight’s Service is our Best Parts Freestyle championship was taken by none other Than Grave Digger. Chad Tingler behind the wheel is on a roll as he has driven the Black and Green Wrecking Machine to three consecutive Stadium freestyle wins in the first six weeks. Tingler has only been to three stadiums and each one he has taken home the trophy. Max D. and Meents is still having bad luck for the year as a brand new transmission blew 30 seconds in to his run. Bounty Hunter also had some mechanical issues as he too did not fill regulation leaving the Double down Trophy untaken here in Miami. There was some great highlights tonight as Spiderman took the hot seat with a 24 and sat there all the way until Grave Digger took the win. Other solid performances came from Ice Cream Man and TJ Tripp who was in the hot seat through five other freestyles until El Diablo and the rookie JP Ruggiero knocked him out with a 21. It was up for grabs tonight as Monster Energy and Ironman both had awesome freestyle runs but came up short in the end. Here are tonight’s results.
