Saturday 7p

Peoria was cold tonight but inside Peoria Civic Center the Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam action was HOT!!
It was all World Champ Charlie Pauken and Grave Digger all weekend…….ALMOST!!
Charlie Pauken and Grave Digger had a spectacular weekend taking 8 out of nine trophies! Pauken was on pace to take them all…… but after an incredible weekend of pushing Grave Digger to the max….. The Black and Green wrecking machine broke in the final freestyle round tonight. A wheelie in freestyle landed just beyond vertical crushing the body on the back of Digger, but more importantly crushed the rear roll cage and bent the chasis of Grave Digger. Pauken still had thirty seconds on the clock and was unable to finish his freestyle run.
Teammate Scott Beutow in Team Hot Wheels Firestorm laid down an incredible Freestyle that would ultimately spoil Diggers streak but I must say Beutow had been pushing hard for the hometown victory all weekend with some spectacular runs of his own.
Maybe one of the coolest moments I have ever personally seen at ANY Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam show came when Beutow in the team HotWheels Monster Jam Truck finished his free style. He drove Team Hot Wheels Firestorm right up nose to nose with Grave Digger. Beutow crawled out of his truck and did the Chucky dance on the hood of his truck right in front of Pauken. That’s right Beutow “BORROWED” the signature move of teammate Charlie Pauken …..taunting him a bit to beat the incredible freestyle that Team Hot Wheels Firestorm had just put down. As I said earlier….. the clean sweep was not in the cards for Pauken and Digger tonight. As teammates….. it was all in good fun….. but was a sign of things to come for Grave Digger.
Wheelie competition was awesome!!
