Saturday 7:00pm

Chase Field has been a home for the Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam for fifteen years in the making and on this anniversary night the fans is what made it such a success. For the first time in the fifteen year history the great fans of Phoenix showed their support of Monster Jam by selling out with standing room only for the first time since we have been coming here. In return Monster Jam added two more Monster Jam Trucks to the line up to give us a 16 truck field also for the first time.

The night started off with qualifying as Metal Mulisha piloted by Todd Leduc took the fastest time of 22.75 seconds to top second fastest Grave Digger. The two would battle hard thru each round to face each other in the UTI Championship race but Grave Digger had engine problems from the start and would have to let Monster Energy take the final race as he sat out. Damon Bradshaw took advantage of Grave Diggers miss fortune and defeated Metal Mulisha in at photo finish finals. That win gave Bradshaw the opportunity to possibly Double Down in back to back weeks which set us up for some awesome freestyle action to come. Metal Mulisha who had the fastest time of the night going into the finals seemed to get faster and faster but one bobble in the first turn of this awesome SO CAL race track ended his night to take his second racing trophy home from chase field.

The Service is our best part freestyle competition was a nail biter as Nitro Hornet took the hot seat early and would not give it up for seven Monster Jam trucks that went after Him. It wasn't till Team Hot Wheels made a statement from the first big air jump till the last that took him into the lead with a high score of 27. Leduc was mad at himself after losing the racing trophy and took it out on his Metal Mulish Monster Jam Truck as he too would score a 27 and share the hot seat with two more Monster Jam Trucks to go. Grave Digger who was running on only seven cylinders came out to the floor and put on a school for the screaming fans. It’s no wonder why Charlie Paukin is a World Freestyle Champion because he took nothing and made it out to be one of the best freestyles ever performed in Chase Field. Monster Energy was the last to go and was the only one that could Double Down but Bradshaw came up short and only scored a 27 Giving Grave Digger the win.
