Make no mistake about it, the next generation of the most famous name in Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam has arrived. Really arrived! In a stadium where his legendary father has had some of the greatest moments of his career, Ryan Anderson had a sold-out, standing room only crowd of some 60,000 standing and screaming in delight as the Monster Jam Phenom won the coveted Double Down trophy for the second straight week, following up the accomplishment from a week ago by winning both racing and freestyle against an incredible 16 truck line-up of superstars in Orlando.

With the amazing Citrus Bowl fans excited from the start after a day of tailgating and one of the year’s largest Parties in the Pits the young Anderson set the tone right off the bat by taking the number one seed in the racing bracket, turning the fastest qualifying time. The activity in qualifying leading into round one was as much in the pits as on the track, and with Ice Cream Man sidelined with a broken motor and Chad Tingler’s crew having to replace the transmission in Grave Digger a 14 truck race bracket was set for the 1st round. The huge crowd was on its feet in that very first round when the match-up between Madusa and Steve Sims in Stone Crusher provided a thrilling photo finish, won by Madusa, only to see the 2-time World Champion roll her pink truck over on a wild landing after the finish line.

The highlight of the 2nd round had the crowd buzzing with a pairing of Son-uva Digger versus Max-D. The most famous rivalry in motorsports, Dennis Anderson and Grave Digger vs. Tom Meents in Max-D was passed on to the next generation in Orlando and Ryan was up to the challenge, Son-uva Digger knocking Max-D out of the racing bracket. After Son-uva Digger bested Florida favorite Scott Hartsock and Gunslinger in one semi-final Marc McDonald powered his awesome looking black El Toro Loco to victory over Stone Crusher. The crowd was on fire for the UTI Championship Race, where Son-uva Digger edged El Toro Loco to take the championship race trophy.

The Advance Auto Parts Service is our Best Part freestyle saw Anderson focused on the Double Down prize but getting the hard to win piece of hardware took another amazing effort. With a large number of trucks thrilling the fans with spectacular moves that ended in trucks flipping over with too much time left on the clock it was Stone Crusher who finally combined filling all of the time on the regulation and bonus clocks with huge moves that impressed the judges and it was Steve Sims who was in the hot seat when the crowd rose to its feet again as the repaired Grave Digger roared onto the track. Tingler’s big momentum, big air performance put Grave Digger on top as Son-uva Digger began to go after the Double Down, and again, Ryan proved to be up to the task.

Another amazing run with big air and ragged edge attitude put Son-uva Digger in the hunt and when the scores were totaled Son-uva Digger and Grave Digger had the same total from the regulation judges. Anderson won it by filling the bonus period in spectacular fashion that included a stunning save that Ryan called his greatest save ever just as bonus time expired. Two extra bonus points sent Ryan to the hot seat but the Double Down was not his yet. Max-D came out and Meents not only launched big but got the loudest standing ovation of the night with an amazing multiple save only to see the truck break before filling the clock, and Son-uva Digger took a Double Down out of Florida for the second straight Saturday night.
