Saturday 2pm

The day was all Pablo Huffaker and Grave Digger, who completed the hat trick by winning all 3 competitions. First win came by way of standing the truck straight up and down on both Monster Jam Wheelie competition hits. Going vertical when everyone else was only able to achieve a 6o degree angle was an easy call for the judges. Racing was also dominated by Pablo and Grave Digger. They matched up against Joey Sylvester in Bad Habit and ended up winning by 1 ½ truck lengths. Joey was right there after the first turn but bobbled just a little after the first set of cars and that was all of the advantage that Pablo needed to go to victory lane. Then the double down victory, taking the win in freestyle.

Saturday Night

History was made in Wichita, Kansas on Saturday. An event that had been an Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam Thunder National or non-dirt show, was a full fledged Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam as the InTrust Bank Arena was full of dirt, stacked steep and tall over vans and cars. While this is an interesting historical event fact, an even greater historical fact was made on Saturday night, Jim Burns has arrived! The driver of Mechanical Mischief has been runner up multiple times in the last couple of years, but never has been able to get to victory lane, until tonight. A fan since he was a 10 year old boy, and then spending the last 10 years getting his team put together, Jim Burns has paid his dues and all of the hard work, blood, sweat and tears poured into this sport for the last decade paid off in spades. Jimmy walked the Mechanical Mischief truck across both Stockholm hybrid stacks, reminiscent of watching Charlie Paukin, had a killer slap wheelie and finished strong with a donut. He hit it all and worked his run with excitement and a great show of skill. Good on Ya Jim Burns and congratulations!!
The next biggest highlight of the night for me was the over rotation of Grave Digger and Pablo Huffaker during Monster Jam Wheelies. And it sounds like Pablo’s back flop was a near identical replay of last Friday night. 2 weekends, 2 bodies toast.
Pablo did go on to win the racing event over Bad Habit and Joey Sylvester, while team mate Aaron Basl won the wheelie contest.

Sunday 2 PM

With what seemed like every other fan holding a homemade Grave Digger sign, Pablo Huffaker and Grave Digger did not disappoint. Pablo won all 3 competitions today in convincing fashion. Going higher, more vertical and further than anyone else in the Monster Jam Wheelie contest, beating El Toro Loco and Aaron Basl by more than a truck and half length in the UTI Championship Round of Racing, and then a patented Pablo run in the Advance Auto Parts “service is our best part” Freestyle competition that sealed the deal for Grave Digger's clean sweep of the day’s activities. Bringing their tally to 7 wins of the 9 competitions this weekend.
