The rain finally quit around 11:00 this morning as the track was very wet from the last four days of rain. In all, the amount of rain that has fallen here since Wednesday totaled around 6 inches. This made it rough on everyone specially the track crew and Hagerstown Speedway who did an awesome job getting the track ready for tonight.

The night started off with Grave Digger winning the wheelie competition with a high score of 25 which was one point over Maximum Destruction. El Toro Loco was tonight’s UTI Racing winner with a photo finish over Maximum Destruction. Tom Meents was getting frustrated taking two back to back second places so he stepped it up in Freestyle and scored a 29 in front of the standing room only crowd. Here are tonight’s results.

Racing round one. Grave Digger BYE, Maximum Destruction def. Gunslinger, Advance Auto Parts Grinder def. The Legend and El Toro Loco defeated Wolverine.

Semi Finals. El Toro Loco defeated Grave Digger and Maximum Destruction defeated Advance Auto Parts Grinder.

Universal Technical Institute Championship Race. El Toro Loco defeats Maximum Destruction.

The rain has started back up but not expecting too much over night and hope to see everyone tomorrow for the 2:00pm show.

Grave Digger The Legend was the big winner today as Adam Anderson Doubled Down in spectacular fashion beating a field of the best in Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam. Anderson won racing by defeating Gunslinger in the finals by inches and won Freestyle with a high score of 26. The Legend was also second in the wheelie contest losing to Maximum Destruction by 3 points.

The Wheelie contest was first this afternoon and Tom Meents in Maximum Destruction stole the event with a high sky wheelie scoring a 24. Grave Digger The Legend and Grave Digger tied with scores of 21 followed by third place winner Wolverine. The Wheelie set up this year was a bit different than in the past. The wheelies were done in the infield of the track with only a two car wheelie bump. This would give the Monster Jam trucks an opportunity to pop and drop trying to bring the front end up off of the rebound to run a long slap wheelie. Only two were successful at this and they were last nights and today winners.

Racing had upsets in round one as Wolverine defeated Grave Digger and The Legend taking out Maximum Destruction. Gunslinger got the bye run today by drawing the ace in the drivers draw before the show started. Grinder was also a winner in round one with a victory over EL Toro Loco who broke when coming to the starting line and would not compete. In the semi finals the two races were very close as The Legend defeated Grinder and Gunslinger beats Wolverine.

In today's freestyle Tom Meents was trying to get back to back victories but at the start of his run he went into a wicked cyclone that broke the rear steering box leaving his rear tires turned in. Tom would try his hardest to get them back to center but nothing would work and had to end his freestyle early. Grave Digger took second Place today with some great air and sick doughnuts but wasn't enough to beat The Legend. Here are today's scores.
