The beautiful Campus of the University of Oregon and home of the Oregon Ducks was the site of today’s Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam. The great fans that filled the Matthew Night arena for this afternoon’s Party in the Pits got to see five awesome Monster Jam trucks along with freestyle BMX and XBSA (Extreme street bikes).The afternoon started off with the wheelie contest as Grave Digger took his first win of the weekend with a perfect tail dragging performance. Wolverine was a close second followed by Captain America.

Racing was next but just to let you know that earlier in the opening ceremonies El Toro Loco had a bad starter and was unable to come out for wheelies or Racing giving the fans afoul truck field. This made racing very interesting as the first two winners in round one would automatically make it to the finals and the two losers would battle it out for third and fourth place. Grave Digger would face off against Wolverine for the finals in a great battle as Grave Digger wins by inches. In the consolation round Lucas Oil Crusader defeats Captain America for third place.

Doughnuts and Freestyle were the last two events and Grave Digger was determined to win both of them and sweep the day. This wouldn't be easy as Wolverine had already finished second to Digger twice and you know Alex would let it all hang out to take a win. In the end it would not happen as Grave Digger wins the doughnut contest with a high score of 27 three points higher than Wolverine and also the same in Freestyle but this time five points higher. Tonight the Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam had two new winners on stage and they were not Grave Digger. Grave Digger did have a win but it did not come until the end in Freestyle. Wolverine and El Toro Loco both had a win with Wolverine taking two of them. Alex Blackwell outscored the field of five Monster Jam Trucks by winning the first event of the night Wheelies. His picture perfect tail gate standing wheelie scored him a high score of 26. Grave Digger would take second place but would leave him with the Black and Green Wrecking Machine on its side in a damaging roll over. That roll over was costly as it put Grave Digger out for racing giving us another four truck racing bracket.

El Toro Loco would come out on top in racing by defeating Lucas Oil Crusader in the UTI Racing finals. Aaron drove El Toro Loco to the championship by beating Wolverine in round one of racing. Lucas Oil made it to the championship by defeating Captain AMERICA. The consolation match up went to Wolverine as he beat Captain AMERICA by inches giving him third place.

The Doughnut competition was awesome as Wolverine recorded the highest score of the weekend so far. The judges were so impressed with his doughnut that they gave him a 29. Grave Digger who was fixed and ready to go for Doughnuts took another second place, two points short of Wolverines score. You could tell that Pablo was not taking this well for his Grave Digger fans and let it all out in Freestyle. With all the cars fading away from all of the destruction they have been put through tonight Grave Digger found enough big air to win Freestyle with a high score of 27. Wolverine was the only one who did not compete in freestyle after blowing his transmission in Doughnuts.

Grave Digger was back in his grove this afternoon winning three out of four events for the great fans of Eugene, Oregon. Pablo Huffaker worked out the bugs from last night and nearly swept the field again only to come up short in the Doughnut Contest. Lucas Oil Crusader was the only other winner today recording not only the doughnut competition but also his first victory of the weekend.

The wheelie contest was first and Captain AMERICA started things off with a solid wheelie taking a score of 17. That would hold until Wolverine excited the fans with another tail gate standing performance but it wasn't enough as Grave Digger took the win with a top score of 24. Pablo Didn't stop there as he drove through the field winninthe UTI championship race over El Toro Loco.

The doughnut contest was up and down as some of the Monster Jam trucks couldn't keep it inthe center of the floor and was shut down by the officials. As the day went on the track got taky in some places and slippery in others causing the drivers to second guess them selves. The only driver to figure it out for Doughnuts was Linsey Weenk As he would win the Doughnut competition with a high score of 23.

Grave Digger again showed the fans why 30 years of being bad to the bone pays off when it comes to Freestyle. Although Grave Digger was the winner hats off to Wolverine for tying Grave Digger only to lose as the Tie breaking judge score Digger one point higher. The whole weekend was full of excitement and we all can't wait to come back next year. Here are today’s results.
