Saturday 7pm

Racing at Chase Field in Phoenix was off the hook from the start. With a Pit Party 12,000 fans strong, it looked like it would be a fantastic night and it was just that and more.

Short Course off road truck racing started the night off with some incredible racing. Todd Cunningham took the win after two great heats and a crazy final that had Todd in 3rd with one lap to go... he roared past Casey Currie and RJ Anderson for the win.

Quad Wars was Team USA and Mexico each winning a heat and squaring off in the final after some intense battles it was Team USA's Nic Granlund who "Sealed the Deal"...

Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam Racing was crazy to say the least with trucks not able to come back due to a mechanical problem or other anomoly. 14 monsters went at it and the final came down to Allen Pezo in Predator who was in by default against Ryan Anderson in Son-uva Digger. With it all on the line Predator, who was in for Felon who broke a ring and pinion, left strong and Son-uva Digger had trouble therefore leading Predator to win with Son-uva Digger finishing behind by 3 truck widths.

So Pezo in Predator was the only "Double Down" possibility! News had also come in that Maximum Destruction (Neil Elliott) had Doubled Down in Orlando and Tom Meents won racing in New orleans, so Pezo in Predator wanted to do it on the East coast!

Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam Freestyle:
Tasmanian Devil / Taryn Laskey she was stout and ran a well earned 14 point run. She is driving for Nicole Johnson who is in Advance Auto Parts Grinder for a spell.

Detour came out and had some incredible air time and Garrett LaDelle became the new leader with 17.

Rod Wood came out in McGruff with a 14.

Then, Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam had its second historic event of the night with a first time driver, Brian Deegan, who won his first racing round, then came out and crushed everything in sight and lead with a 20 point run landing him in the hot seat already!!!!

Robo Machine scored a 15, Predator an 18, as did Get-R-Done.

Then came Lucas Oil Crusader and Lindsey was bad fast with huge air and scored a 21, our new leader.

El Toro Loco / Mark McDonald was without a doubt going for big air and got all he could and more with a steller run and a new top score of 23 putting a new leader in the hot seat.

Carl Van Horn in Grave Digger scored a 19, which should tell you that he was on the way to a possible win, when he rolled and broke Grave Digger truck and only ran 45 seconds.

The last truck out was Ryan Anderson in Son-uva Digger and like his dad has done for 30 years, blew the doors off the truck, scoring a 24 and giving him the lead. But he was not done. He re-fired and completely tore up everything he hit - and he hit EVERYTHING making him the freestyle winner with a 24!!!!

It was one of the wildest shows this announcer has ever been a part of in the last 20 seasons of Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam. The crowd was AWESOME and the night was EPIC!!! These fans got the "BONUS PLAN!!!"
