With severe weather threatening, we were prepping for a sloppy track and the drivers and crews were scrambling to make sure the setups on the trucks were ready for anything. We dodged a bullet as the severe weather, including golf ball sized hail and 70 mph winds, went just south of Quincy Raceway. WHEW!!!

It was an awesome night for Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam Summer Heat brought to you by Casey’s General Stores!!

Plus we had an awesome group of Street Warriorz!

It would be an all Grave Digger and Pablo Night! Pablo took Wheelies, Racing, Freestyle and that meant he also took the Double Down for the evening!! Pablo had Grave Digger hooked up and read the track perfectly!! It was an amazing run with the fans going crazy by the end of the night!!

Racing was EXTREMELY close and Krmel advanced in the Advance Auto Parts Grinder truck as the fast loser in round one all the way to the UTI Championship Final. Grave Digger and Pablo prevailed - but not by much!

Freestyles were just incredible! As you know Pablo won in Grave Digger, but everyone put on a great show going well past the normal 60 seconds giving the fans tons of bonus action. Joey Sylvester in Bad Habit threw not one, but two rods right through the oil pan at the end of his run!

I met a great young man named Jacob. His dad says he is Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam’s biggest fan and around their house they refer to his allowance as Monster Jam Allowance. Jacob - see you again tomorrow night!

What an awesome and interesting night in Quincy. Bad Habit blew its' engine last night so Alex Blackwell and Nitro Circus were rushed to Quincy to round out the Monster field. It took all of Friday night and half the day on Saturday but both Blackwell and Nitro Circus were ready at show time.

Severe weather threatened and severe Monster trucks rolled, boy did they roll.

Changing things up a bit, instead of wheelies we got a great set of donuts from everyone. The track was wet in some places and dry in others making donuts a real challenge for these guys. Darren Migues had Stone Crusher ready to go and rolled into the donut. Stone Crusher hooked a dry spot on the track and flipped right over on its' lid. Migues was fine, the safety crew rolled Stone Crusher back over, Migues fired it up and did great the rest of the night.

It would be a challenging night for Grave Digger and Pablo Huffaker. Grave Digger came out for donuts and lit it up. What an awesome cyclone. But then a spider gear in the rear end let go and Pablo was unfortunately done for the night, but not before taking the win in donuts! The crew and Pablo will have a long night ahead to make sure Grave Digger is ready for Saturday nights' show.

Racing was extremely close with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Stone Crusher, Advance Auto Parts Grinder and Nitro Circus slugging it out. Alex Blackwell obviously came to Quincy to win, and win he did. A decisive racing win for Nitro Circus and Alex Blackwell. This is the 20th unique truck that Blackwell has piloted to a victory. He just finds a way to win regardless of what the name is on the side of the truck. This is impressive due to the fact that he has never driven this particular truck before!

Freestyle was just incredible. Everyone put on a great show going well past the normal 60 seconds giving the fans tons of bonus action. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Stone Crusher, Nitro Circus and Advance Auto Parts Grinder all had awe inspiring runs but Frank Krmel and Advance Auto Parts Grinder absolutely stole the show. This was the biggest air I have ever seen in Quincy. Frank Krmel just wouldn’t stop, Advance Auto Parts Grinder was spot on with impressive air, cyclone donuts. Advance Auto Parts Grinder and Krmel hit everything on the track hard.

It was a race to beat the rain and storms, which did roll in shortly after the show ended.

What a difference 24 hours makes for the weather. The weather at show time was blue skies and sunshine. All weekend we had been dodging severe weather but not tonight.

It was an awesome night for Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam Summer Heat brought to you by Casey’s General Stores.

What an awesome night in Quincy, rain fell overnight on Friday into Saturday. But just the right amount to make the track nearly perfect. Light crust on top and the Illinois clay just below was perfect for Monster Jam action.

Changing things up a bit, instead of wheelies we got a great set of donuts from everyone. The track was nearly perfect for donuts and the Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam Summer Heat donuts were hot! On Friday night Darren Migues had Stone Crusher ready to go and rolled into the donut. Stone Crusher hooked a dry spot on the track and flipped right over on its' lid. Not tonight, Migues and everyone else executed donuts in championship style. After some mechanical issues on Friday night, Pablo Huffaker had Grave Digger all ready to go. The proof was the donut run Pablo put down in Grave Digger. Wow, Pablo and Grave Digger would take donuts for the night with a 22.

Racing was insane tonight with all 5 drivers psyched about the track conditions. Krmel and Advance Auto Parts Grinder started racing with a bye run and finished strong taking the racing win for the night. Every truck was strong but Advance Auto Parts Grinder would take the win. Could Grinder and Krmel win freestyle to get the double down for the night? Time would tell.

Freestyle was just incredible. Everyone put on a great show. Grave Digger, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Stone Crusher, Nitro Circus and Advance Auto Parts Grinder would all have really good runs but the ending of two of those runs would make for a long night ahead for two of the trucks and crews. Advance Auto Parts Grinder and Grave Digger would get almost all of their freestyle runs in, but both broke right at the end of their run. These guys were going for it on this beautiful Saturday night. Advance Auto Parts Grinder lost an engine and Grave Digger had a broken four link. But neither truck broke before delivering an incredible freestyle. Taking the freestyle Saturday night was Darren Miques with a 25. What a spectacular show as Miques delivered the best wheelie of the weekend, standing Stone Crusher straight up and pounding that tailgate. Impressive.
