For many years now the Advanvce Auto Parts Monster Jam Thunder Nationals have rolled into Dayton Ohio and the Nutter Center. This historic building has played host to the NCAA Tournament, Arena Cross and numerous Concerts, but it is when the Monster Trucks come into town the place is electric.
The night startedc off with thew wheelie competition as Black Stallion won the event with a steller wheelie that had the crowd on there feet. Mike Vatters would win by one point over Dave Rappach in Rap Attack. Then Vatters would go on to win the UTI Championship race againts crowd favorite High Maintenance. This would give Black Stallion the only chance to double down tonight if he could win freestyle, but it wouldn't happen. Grave Digger from here went on a terror and wanted to get into the winners circle. Randy Brown drove the Black and Green Wrecking Machine to wins in the doughnut contest by six points over second place finisher Virginia Giant and went on to win freestyle by one point over Bad Habit. The Grave Digger fans wanted more but at the end of the 60 seconds Digger blew the transmission and that was it for the night.
In other action Team Michigan defeated team ohio in the first two races of the night but team Ohio batteled back to win the Main. The Graet fans of Dayton were also treated to BMX freestyle riders Jody Donnley, Chad Newman, Justin Wood, and Chris Gerber. Here are tonights scores.

The weather was nice and sunny outside for the first of spring but the action inside the Wright State Nutter Center was heating up. It was time for the second day of copetition between 8 of the best Monster Trucks on the Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam Tour. The day started off with Black Stallion repeating as the Wheelie winner scoring a high 28 to beat El Toro Loco by one point. Speaking of the red bull, Joey Parnell had an awesome day as he would win the UTI Racing championship by defeating Bad Habit in the Semi Finals. Bad Habit also impressed the fans and the judges as he took second in freestyle for the second time this weekend. But it was Grave Digger who again took the last two competitions by winning Doughts with a perfect score of 30 and freestyle with a score of 27.
Racing today was different as the track was set up for Chicago Style racing the Monsters actualy ran head to head straight line. This set up El Toro Loco who was faster than the rest of the trucks at the starting line when the green light came on.Racing Round one: Bad Habbit defeated Virginia Giant and then defeated Rap Attack to make it to the finals. Eltoro Loco defeated Full Boar in his first round match up and then took out High Maintenance who came back because Grave Digger was broke. Another stellar crowd was on hand tonigh at The Wright State Nutter Center for the final Four competitions before the World Finals next week. Even though none of the eight trucks here this weekend are going to Las Vegas that did not stop the high flying crazy action that took place in front of the awesome Dayton fans.
The night started off with the wheelie contest and again Black Stallion showed why he is a 7 time Thunder National Champion. Mike Vattters won the wheelie contest with a score of 24 beating two other veterans Dave Rappach in rap Attack and Jocelyn Perin in High Maintenance bye one point. El Toro Loco was fourth with a score of 21 followed by Virgini Giant and Grave Digger who both scored 18. Full Boar rounded out the field with a 16.
Racing was next and some surprise were in order. Firts the fans were expecting Digger to be in the finals, but that wasn't the case. Ed Eckert in Full Boar wowed the fans and made it to the final only to loose to Black Stallion. Another great victory came when High Maintenace took out Grave Digger in round one and got the fans on her side only to get beat in the semi finals by Full Boar. Virginia Giant got a bye run in round one but lost to Black Stallion in the Semi Finals. The other victorys came from Full Boar in round one with a victory over El Toro Loco and Black Stallions victory over Rap Attack.
Doughnuts and Freestyel were Awesome! Grave Digger took both victories but it wasn't easy. High Maintenace rock the house with an awesome doughnut only to get beat by Digger who had the only perfect scores of the weekend. Full Boar also rocked out a solid doughnut but came up short on the scoring end. In Freestyle the hard working award goes to Bad Habit. Joey Sylvester knew his truck was broke but saved it till the end for the fans. By the time his freestyle was over the transmission was gone along with all offf the steering. Virginia Giant, Rap Attack, Full Boar and High Maintenance gave Digger a run for his money in freestyle. here are the final results.
