Friday Night

The brand new Advance Auto Parts Grinder truck driven by John Seasock make its first appearance in Pennsylvania tonight and didn’t disappoint the fans as Seasock piloted the truck to wins in Wheelies and Racing but just fell short of the double down to a spectacular run by Pablo Huffaker in Grave Digger.

As the next to last truck out in the Monster Jam Wheelie competition, Seasock used the power of the six week old machine to propel the truck high into the air and rode out the wheelie bringing the crowd to life. The dominance continued into the Racing competition as the Advance Auto Parts Grinder truck dominated and easily placed the truck in the finals. UTI Racing would come down to a final of Grave Digger and Advance Auto Parts Grinder with Advance Auto Parts Grinder taking the edge at the finish and opening the door for the opportunity to take the Double Down.

But the Service is our Best Part Freestyle competition proved to be a little bit more difficult for the Advance Auto Parts Grinder driver. With each truck that hit the floor, the bar was especially raised when Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles hit the floor. This truck was the first to mix in donuts with wheelies and big air. The run scored a solid 21 and took the clear lead. But the Advance Auto Parts Grinder truck was not to be outdone and sought the elusive Double Down trophy. The run was full of excitement as the truck was the first one out to attack the huge ramp in the middle of the floor catching big air. More amazing wheelies ensued and the 60 second run wrapped up with a cyclone. The crowd loved it and a new mark to beat was set with Grave Digger left in the pits, who just returned from replacing the rear axle that broke during the UTI Racing Finals. It was clear though that the truck was solid and Grave Digger wowed the fans going bigger and harder than any truck before him. The truck came to a whirling stop and the score cards showed Grave Digger as the winner.

Saturday 2:00 P.M.

The Party in the Pits kicked things off this afternoon as everyone prepared for the Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam at the Consol Energy Center. All trucks were ready for competition as the Bad News Travels Fast team had fixed their cut tire and team Grave Digger checked out the new axles that were replaced the night before during Freestyle. But when the dust settled and the winners were named, it was Grave Digger taking wins in Wheelies and Freestyle and Advance Auto Parts Grinder snagging the racing victory.

Grave Digger had some tough competition in Monster Jam Wheelies as XXX set the bar high by launching the truck high to earn a 19. That lead held until John Seasock drove the Advance Auto Parts Grinder machine to the line and rapped the throttle to send the truck sailing high. A new high score of 25 was posted as Pablo Huffaker drove Grave Digger to the track and piloted to the truck to an even more spectacular wheelie gaining one point on Grinder to become the winner.

But Huffaker couldn’t keep the streak going and Racing belonged solely to Seasock and his brand new Advance Auto Parts Grinder. The six week old truck dominated the racing bracket once again and took out Grave Digger in the finals.

Advance Auto Parts Service is our Best Part Freestyle capped off the evening with an impressive run by Dustin Brown in Monster Mutt. Brown piloted the truck and impressed with big wheelies, big air and quick donuts to wow the judges. The run only scored a 19 and the crowd was clearly in opposition to the judge’s decision as they booed the card holders. Grinder kick started it up a notch and wowed the crowd with big air off the huge ramp in the middle of the floor. John Seasock held the lead only momentarily though as Grave Digger hit the floor and bested all the trucks in the field.
