What a year 2013 has already been in Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam® and we are nowhere near being finished yet. A year that has seen so many great annual events on the circuit providing thrills that have been the best ever has been complemented by the continuing expansion of the sport that has already included Monster Jam for the first time in the Middle East when fans in the United Arab Emirates were treated to Monster Jam competition in Abu Dhabi. That growth into new homes for the sport continues this weekend with one of the most anticipated additions to the schedule ever seen when Monster Jam roars into historic Eldora Speedway, arguably the world’s most famous dirt track speedway.

If you are a race fan, especially a sprint car racing fan, you know all about Eldora. This is a facility known for hosting amazing spectacles every year, mega events with huge fields of the greatest stars in dirt track racing battling in front of huge crowds of fans for the biggest purses seen anywhere. Earl Baltes, considered by many the greatest short track race promoter of all time, built the reputation of Eldora Speedway into a phenomenon by creating events that drew fans from all over the country. Then a few years ago NASCAR Sprint Cup champion Tony Stewart purchased the iconic facility and his team has elevated Eldora’s stature even more by adding more major events to the schedule there, some that have included several of “Smoke’s” NASCAR buddies returning to their roots to compete in special sprint car races at the Ohio race plant.

Stewart’s team that manages and promotes Eldora today is clearly committed to taking this top of line facility to a whole new level, and rather than just sitting on the accomplishments of the past they are moving into the future by adding even more reasons for fans to flock to New Weston, Ohio. Just a week ago Eldora made national sports headlines by hosting the first NASCAR national touring series event on dirt in more than three decades and the Camping World Trucks Series race there produced a night of entertaining and competitive race action that was a delight to the huge crowd that was there to see it live and for those who watched it on Speed.

It seems appropriate that the growth into previously uncharted areas for this tradition rich facility will include the next step in what continues to be an incredible worldwide expansion of Monster Jam into great venues for the first time. Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam competition will be at Eldora Speedway this Friday and Saturday and for the sport’s debut at such a respected race track fans in Eldora this weekend will be treated to one of the greatest line-up of superstar Monster Jam trucks in racing and freestyle competition that has been assembled anywhere this year.

Leading the parade of superstars to Ohio are the two reigning Monster Jam World Champions, current racing title holder Grave Digger the Legend® and Adam Anderson along with reigning freestyle king Tom Meents and Max-DSM, and both of those elite pilots will be putting it all on the line in their attempt to make history as the first ever Eldora Speedway Monster Jam winners. But whoever wins the racing brackets and the freestyle competitions this weekend will have done so by topping an absolutely stacked line-up, the best of the best.

Along with the current Monster Jam World FinalsSM Champions set to do battle at Eldora, Grave Digger® will also be there looking to rock the house with Dennis Anderson, himself a 4-time World Champion, behind the wheel of the black and green wrecking machine. The Andersons are actually holding an on-track family reunion at the Ohio speedway: joining his father and brother will be Ryan Anderson in Son-uva Digger®.

Just that quartet of Monster Jam’s premier teams has fans excited about this big time addition to the annual schedule, and there’s so much more talent looking to steal the headlines and the historic wins there. Ready to challenge the current champions Max-D and The Legend, along with Grave Digger and Son-uva Digger will be the Lucas Oil Crusader®, El Toro Loco®, Monster MuttSM Dalmatian, and Captain’s Curse®. In all a whopping total of 19 Monster Jam World Finals Championships are represented in the stellar roster of superstars who will race and freestyle at Eldora Speedway.

Later this year the Monster Jam World Tour expansion continues with the first ever Monster Jam event in Sydney, Australia, as well as the sport’s debut in a brand new home for Monster Jam in Stockholm, Sweden. But this weekend the amazing growth of Monster Jam adds one of this country’s most popular facilities to the circuit while another fantastic line-up of talent will battle in Cedar Park, Texas. The return of Monster Jam to Cedar Park this weekend also promises amazing action with the winningest team in the sport in 2013, Grave Digger and Pablo Huffaker, looking to add even more victories against another tough field that will include the always bad fast Mark Hall, representing the RAM brand behind the wheel of Raminator.

It will be a sensational weekend of Monster Jam excitement in both Ohio and Texas. For fans heading to New Weston, Ohio, be ready for a weekend fitting for the world’s most exciting sport in its debut at maybe the world’s most famous dirt track. Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam, for the first time ever at Eldora Speedway, and you know the action is going to be epic, a weekend that will be must see Monster Jam competition for fans all over the Midwest who are heading to Ohio to see yet another piece of Monster Jam history at Tony Stewart’s Eldora Speedway.
