2014 Monster Jam World Finals Expands
New Format and 32-Truck Field Headline Monster Jam World Finals in its 15th Year

AURORA, Ill. (March 7, 2013) – Feld Motor Sports® announced key changes to the 2014 Monster Jam World FinalsSM XV which will dramatically enhance the event and fan experience.  The fifteenth edition of the Monster Jam World Finals will expand to a two-day format in 2014, with the Racing Championship on Friday, March 21 and Freestyle Championship on Saturday, March 22.  The 2014 Monster Jam World Finals will take place starting with the Monster Jam World Finals Double DownSM on Thursday, March 20 at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas.

By separating the Racing Championship (Friday, March 21) and Freestyle Championship (Saturday, March 22) into two nights, fans will be treated to biggest line-up of Monster Jam trucks competing at one time anywhere in the world.  The Monster Jam World Finals freestyle course will be an all-new design and will challenge the competitors with outrageous obstacles and a battlefield of destruction never seen before.

“The loyal Monster Jam® fans have been asking to expand the Monster Jam World Finals weekend with more access, more competition, more trucks, and we have answered,” said Ken Hudgens, COO, Feld Motor Sports.  “The two-day event creates a higher level in both racing and freestyle.  The Monster Jam drivers will be able to focus on each specific competition which will result in a better racing and better freestyle.  In addition, holding racing and freestyle on separate days will allow us to build and create each track solely for that portion of the competition.  Fans can expect an all-new and enhanced freestyle course on Saturday.  All of this, combined with the expanded field to 32 Monster Jam trucks, will make this the best Monster Jam World Finals ever.”

The Monster Jam World Finals Double DownSM event, Thursday (March 20), will continue to offer the same VIP-level experiences and benefits of past years, including exclusive access into Qualifying races, the Monster Jam World Finals Young Guns ShootoutSM, pit party, exclusive merchandise, and sideline seats to the Racing and Freestyle Championships.

“I am thrilled about the Monster Jam World Finals expanding to a two day format in 2014,” said 10-time Monster Jam World Finals Champion Tom Meents, driver of Max-DSM.  “Being able to focus exclusively on the Racing World Championship on Friday will enable all 32 competitors to take their game to the next level.  Plus, we will now have a course built exclusively for the Freestyle World Championship on Saturday.  If you think freestyle has been amazing before…get ready for some of the greatest freestyle action ever seen.  I hope the fans are as excited as I am.”
