After being sidelined due to injury, Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam^® driver, Frank Krmel has been cleared to resume driving the Advance Auto Parts Grinder and will do so in Rosemont, IL this weekend at the Allstate Arena.  MonsterJam.com was able to sit down with Krmel and ask him a few questions. 

 Monster Jam: Are you excited to get back behind the wheel of Grinder at Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam? 

  Frank Krmel: Yes, I am ecstatic. It’s been the longest 8 weeks of my life. I cannot wait to put that fire suit back on and jump in the seat of Grinder.  

  Monster Jam: Is it tough to get back in the swing of things after being sidelined for awhile or is driving at Monster Jam like riding a bike? 

  Frank Krmel: We’ll find out! I think I will be fine. Mark, Tyson and Katie are a great Monster Jam crew and I know they have been keeping the monster truck in great shape.  I can’t wait to fire up the Advance Auto Parts Grinder for the first time and pull out on to the floor. I can’t wait for the feeling.  

  Monster Jam: Can fans expect a big comeback performance this weekend from Advance Auto Parts Grinder? 

  Frank Krmel: The Chicago fans are going to get a great show. I will do everything I can to get the Advance Auto Parts Grinder in the winner’s circle. I want to pick up right where we left off last season.  

  Monster Jam: How do you feel Nicole Johnson performed in your absence? 

  Frank Krmel: Nicole was put in a pretty tough position. Driving a truck like Advance Auto Parts Grinder  is a big responsibility, and can be a tough job for a Monster Jam veteran, let alone a 2^nd year driver. With that said, she did a great job.  

  Monster Jam: Are you looking forward to competing more in racing or freestyle this weekend at Monster Jam? 

  Frank Krmel: If it involves me getting to drive my Advance Auto Parts Grinder truck than I can’t wait, wheelie contest, racing, freestyle, anything.  I might even sleep in the monster truck Thursday night!  I really cannot wait to get back to work!
