I have been a Grave Digger fan since I was about 9 years old
- so for 26 of Grave Digger's 30 years. I have met Dennis 4 or 5 times, and
there is no other person in motorsports (or any sport for that matter) that is
as much as a class act as Dennis. He never forgets where he came from. I would
have to say that my favorite memory would be the old Three Rivers Stadium
(Pittsburgh, PA) 1996. Dennis was actually short a crew guy and asked me to
help him out. I tired up the truck with him, ran out to the rig to get fuel,
etc. Yes, my childhood hero asking me to help him for the weekend. I will never
forget that as long as I live. From that event in 1997, I didn’t meet Dennis
again until 2006 when I visited the outer banks on my honeymoon. My wife and I
saw Dennis there, and to my surprise he remembered me from 9 years ago. He
actually took us on an hour long tour of Diggers Dungeon, and showed us his own
personal projects. I just want to say for those of you who never personally met
Dennis, everything he says in his interviews & on TV are 100 percent true.
He loves his fans, and yes, he really does appreciate every nut and bolt on his
truck and every shingle on his roof! HAHA Best of luck to team Grave Digger on
their 30th anniversary. Double Down in Vegas Baby!! Chris from Pittsburgh, PA
