MonsterJam.com:
Are you happy with your overall results in 2011 so far?
Tom
Meents:
I am extremely happy with my results in 2011 and I am looking
forward to Minneapolis, M.N., on December 10. Competition has been the best
it’s ever been and to be still near the top of the ranks is awesome! The amount
of crazy freestyle runs and moves the Maximum Destruction® team has pulled off
this year is unbelievable!
MonsterJam.com:
What would you say is the most memorable event for you this year and why?
Tom
Meents:
All
of the Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam® events are very memorable to me in so many ways but
the one that stands out is Baltimore, M.D. The Max D team and I spent a
lot of time promoting the first time ever event and it ended up having
great results. The greatest part of it all was to show the fans
a show that was even better than the hype we promised!
MonsterJam.com:
You’ve been a lot more active on Facebook these days communicating with all of
your fans. Seems like you’re having a great time with it aren’t you?
Tom Meents:
Facebook is just another great way to communicate
with all the fans of Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam. I don’t think they truly
understand how much they drive me to drive harder.
MonsterJam.com:
Are you superstitious or do you have a pre-event ritual that you perform to
help give you good luck before an event?
Tom
Meents:
I
like to think of the time and money that our great fans have spent to come to
the event. That motivates me to go out there and give them the best show
possible so they never forget this great motorsport.
MonsterJam.com:
What are your expectations and what do you have prepared for the 2012 Advance
Auto Parts Monster Jam® season?
Tom
Meents:
My
expectations for my drivers and I are simple, spoil the Grave Digger® 30th
anniversary tour! Neil Elliott and Kreg Christenson and I are certainly ready
to take on that task. Team Max D has a new chassis to debut in 2012 and we are
excited to create some Maximum Destruction with it! The Max D team has been
busy in Paxton, I.L., preparing the enormous amount of spare parts it takes to
get through the 2012 season. We know victories don't come easy and we are
paying the price.
