Marvel Super Heroes Roar Into Monster Jam

Iron Man and Spider-Man branded monster trucks join the Monster Jam line-up in January 2010

New York, NY, October 23, 2009 – Marvel Entertainment, Inc., a global character-based entertainment licensing company celebrating the 70th anniversary of its founding in 1939, has partnered with Feld Motor Sports, the world leader in specialized arena and stadium-based motor sports entertainment, to feature Iron Man and Spider-Man on custom-designed monster trucks to perform on the worldwide Monster Jam® tour. 

The addition of the Super Hero-branded monster trucks to Monster Jam - the world's most popular live touring monster truck property which combines motor sports and family entertainment - enables Marvel to leverage the enormous appeal of the live Monster Jam shows to expand the exposure of its popular Super Hero brands to Monster Jam's annual audience of over four million spectators.  The Iron Man and Spider-Man trucks will make their official debut at Monster Jam events in January 2010.

The deal also includes co-branded merchandise to be sold onsite during live Monster Jam shows and on MonsterJam.com. Merchandise includes rights for apparel and accessories, specialty items, DVD inclusion, posters, stickers and show yearbooks.

With more than 325 live performances a year at the world's premier stadiums and arenas, Monster Jam has a family-oriented fan base of more than four million spectators. Monster Jam events blow the roof off traditional motor sports, featuring giant monster trucks competing in a thrilling, car-crushing frenzy. Monster Jam events are televised on the SPEED Channel and CBS.
