Following a sensational opening weekend of Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam® thrills in some different 11 cities last weekend the unbelievable action moves to another 11 locales this weekend for a slate of competitions that will include the return of the sport to several traditional major domed and stadium venues, along with a slate of arena events and understandably both the competitors and fans alike are fired up for week 2 on the 2013 Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam schedule.

The first weekend of 2013 was chocked full of crowd pleasing action from coast to coast with highlights and Wow moments enjoyed across the board. The Max-DSM 10th Anniversary season got off to a roaring start as Max-D drivers Tom Meents, Neil Elliott, and Kreg Christensen combined to amass a pair of racing bracket championship wins along with 7 freestyle triumphs over the course of the first weekend. Team Max-D looks to build on that momentum, with all three of the Max-D units heading into big stadium Advance Auto Parts Monster Jams this coming Saturday night: Tom taking his specially designed anniversary piece to Anaheim’s Angels Stadium, Elliott is set to rock the house at Ford Field in Detroit, and Christensen will be squaring off against a line-up of superstars in Houston’s Reliant Stadium, the awesome home of the Houston Texans where Max-D made its original debut some ten years ago when the sport moved from the Astrodome to the state-of-the art Reliant Stadium for the first time ever.

As for Team Grave Digger® the first events of 2013 saw the victories starting to pile up already. It’s interesting to note that at all three scheduled events on Max-D’s Anniversary Tour coming up this weekend a Grave Digger outfit will be there looking to spoil the Max-D celebrations. It will be Dennis Anderson who rocks Houston in his Grave Digger, with Jon Zimmer and Charlie Pauken carrying the black and green colors in Detroit and Anaheim respectively, which will have fans buzzing for sure in all three cities looking forward to the next chapters in the Greatest Rivalry in Motorsports, Max-D vs. Grave Digger.

On the results sheet the top racing honors from week number one go to Jim Creten, who drove his powerful Bounty Hunter to three Championship Round racing victories in Columbus, Ohio, starting 2013 with a 9 and 0 record in rounds of racing. In freestyle action it was Team Grave Digger’s Chad Tingler topping the charts by winning all four freestyle competitions at the Mid America Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa. A few other teams had prefect weekends in freestyle action as Elliott took Max-D to all three freestyle victories in Trenton, New Jersey; Zimmer rocked Manchester, New Hampshire, and his Grave Digger won all three freestyle competitions there; Grave Digger drivers Anderson and Pablo Huffaker also swept their freestyle battles, Dennis dominating both freestyle competitions in Lexington, Kentucky, and Pablo going two for two in Nashville, Tennessee.
