| When monster trucks were roaring on to the scene in the 80’s, Jim Bendzik was just 19 years old. Since the very first time he caught sight of one, Jim knew he was hooked. He went to as many Monster Jam events as possible near his hometown in Minnesota , and attended every pit party he could, asking many questions and soaking up everything he could about the sport. Finally, calling on his many years as a mechanic, Jim built his very own monster truck from the ground up, calling it Rollin' Thunder. Rollin' Thunder has a red colored base, with a paint job that looks like “rips” in the truck where lightning emerges. Under the hood, Bendzik claims Rollin' Thunder is one of the toughest trucks on the tour, since he built it himself and knows every inch of it. Jim also has something other drivers may not; a test track in his own backyard, where he can test and tune every aspect of his truck. |
