TRUCK HISTORY
Northern NightmareSM was originally unveiled to the world on November 30, 2011, at Rogers Centre in Toronto. It was first time in the history of Monster Jam® that a dedicated Canadian-themed Monster Jam truck had been added to the tour. Proud Canadian Cam McQueen, a native of Calgary who was already one of the sport’s fastest-rising stars, was tabbed from day one to drive the new Northern Nightmare.

The name Northern Nightmare was selected through the national online contest, “Name the Canuck Monster Jam truck,” which invited Canadians to offer up their best homegrown names. Entries were judged on a variety of criteria, including: originality, creativity, capacity to evoke Canadian pride, and the ability to capture and reflect the essence of the Maple Leaf Monster Jam Tour in Canada.

Northern Nightmare is covered with red maple leaves on a black background and sports a Canadian flag. The Monster Jam truck competes across North America and is a headliner on the popular Monster Jam Maple Leaf Tour.

At the 2012 Monster Jam World FinalsSM, McQueen and Northern Nightmare captured their first World Freestyle Championship in front of a sold out crowd at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas.
