TRUCK HISTORY
|
| Debuting at Atlanta’s Georgia Dome on January 9, 2010, the Iron Man™ monster truck launched as part of the promotion of the Iron Man 2 Movie. This unique design was inspired by Stark Industries and the Iron Man franchise. The truck is equipped with a 1,500 horsepower supercharged 540 Merlin engine atop 6’ tall, 1,700 pound tires. Behind the wheel of this car-crushing machine is Monster Jam® veteran, Lee O’Donnell. In March 2010, the Iron Man monster truck made it’s first appearance at the Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam World Finals. The truck lost to King Krunch® in the 1
st
round in the racing competition and placed 9th in freestyle with a score of 25. Iron Man held it’s own in it’s first year and won the hearts of Monster Jam’s most loyal fans. |
