TRUCK HISTORY
|
| Higher
Education is the newest piece of the team based in Hagerstown, Maryland,
fielded by Michael and Denise Vaters, joining Black Stallion and Iron Warrior
in Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam®. Black Stallion has been a top
performer in the sport for three decades and has won several Thunder National
series championships, as well as having competed at multiple Monster Jam World
FinalsSM. Iron Warrior began running as a team truck to Black
Stallion in 2004. Then the team expanded again, acquiring a third truck in
2010. The new Monster Jam truck underwent a series of modifications and finally
Higher Education was ready for competition. The truck made its first start in
Monster Jam competition in 2011. Long-time Black Stallion crew chief James
Tracey, who has worked on Vaters’ crew for over 15 years, was selected by the
team to drive Higher Education at Monster Jam events. |
