Hitter is one of the newest additions to Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam®,
having joined the circuit for the first time in 2012. Heavy Hitter is the
creation of Derick Anson who drives the truck in Monster Jam competitions.
Anson has an extensive and varied motorsports background that includes
motocross and drag racing, as well as the thrill-a-minute Outlaw Figure-8
racing. As a driver who loves exciting motorsports, Anson decided to build
Heavy Hitter to battle in Monster Jam. Anson says that his love of exciting
forms of racing and his love of thrilling the fans every time out both
convinced him to build Heavy Hitter. When not flying through arenas and stadiums
behind the wheel of Heavy Hitter in Monster Jam competitions, Anson still
competes in Outlaw Figue-8 races. |
