TRUCK HISTORY
|
| Black Stallion should be known as the truck with the most “firsts.” It was the first monster truck to have shocks specifically made for it. And the truck’s driver, Mike Vaters, was the first to design and build a Bypass Tube Shock creating 36’ of travel. These tubes later became a common staple on all monster trucks.
Another first came in 1999, when Vaters and Black Stallion successfully jumped another monster truck while driving forward. Three years later, they jumped another monster truck, but this time in reverse. Black Stallion has been a staple on the Monster Jam® tour and even has a Thunder Nationals® championship to its long list of accomplishments!
