Black Stallion should be known as the Monster Jam® truck with the most “firsts.” It was the first Monster Jam truck to have shocks specifically made for it. And the driver, Mike Vaters, was the first to design and build a Bypass Tube shock creating 36’ of travel. These tubes later became a common staple on all Monster Jam trucks. Another first came in 1999, when Vaters and Black Stallion successfully jumped another Monster Jam truck while driving forward. Three years later, they jumped another Monster Jam truck, but this time in reverse. Black Stallion has been a staple on the Monster Jam tour and will continue to be for more years to come.
