Competing in Advance
Auto Parts Monster Jam driving the powerful Ground Pounder continues Chris
Ryan’s varied career in motorsports. Ryan says that he grew up racing anything
with wheels on it, eventually getting the opportunity to drive a monster truck.
Before his monster days Ryan built his racing career on circle tracks, while
also racing quads, snowmobiles and tough trucks. Ryan then got the
opportunity to start working on monster trucks as a Crew Chief and then when a
fill-in driver was needed he took advantage of that opportunity, performing
well in competition and eventually earning his position as the driver of the
Ground Pounder.
